This strawberry almond milk shake is my new solution whenever I crave something sweet & creamy. It is guilt-free, refreshing, and perfect for all the warm summer nights we’ve been having here of late – a great healthy alternative to heavy, sugar-laden ice cream.
It is super simple to make and very easy on the digestive system as it is free of dairy and refined sugars. As outlined in the recipe, it is sweetened with strawberries and a little agave syrup (or your sweetener of choice), but you can substitute the strawberries for any other fruit if you prefer. It is also great for kids, who likely will think it is a milkshake, and a good source of calcium, vitamin C & antioxidants!

|Almond Milk Strawberry Slushie||
- ½ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp agave syrup (honey, maple syrup & stevia can be used instead)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5-6 ice cubes
- Combine all the ingredients in a high-speed blender until a thick slush-texture is achieved
- Pour into a chilled or cool glass and serve immediately.
